Obverse
The obverse of the coin features Vytis inside a shield with floral motifs on both sides, surrounded by the inscription LIETUVA (LITHUANIA) and the denomination (50 litas).
Reverse
The reverse of the coin displays stylised figures of basketball players, the logo of the National Olympic Committee of Lithuania and the inscriptions ATLANTA and 1996.
