Reverse

The reverse of the coin features an image of a pond turtle (Lith. balinis vėžlys) – an animal included in the Red Book of Lithuania. The turtle is surrounded by the inscriptions BALINIS VĖŽLYS (POND TURTLE), Emys orbicularis, the denomination (50 litas) and the mark of the designer (GK).
