Obverse

The obverse of the coin features a stylised Vytis, from the times of Mindaugas, which later became the coat of arms of the State. It is surrounded by the inscription LIETUVA (LITHUANIA), denomination (200 litas), and the Roman numeral MMIII (the year of issue – 2003).

Reverse

The reverse of the coin features the ruler on a throne, holding a sceptre in his right hand and the orb and cross in his left, surrounded by the inscription MINDAUGO KARŪNAVIMAS 1253 (CORONATION OF MINDAUGAS 1253).
