Obverse

The obverse of the coin features a stylised Vytis, surrounded by the inscription LIETUVA (LITHUANIA), year of issue (2014), denomination (50 litas), the mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint, and images of the life of Lithuanian peasants.

Reverse

The reverse of the coin features the work and activities of Lithuanian peasants, depicted with reference to motifs from the poem Metai (The Seasons) by Kristijonas Donelaitis, as well as the Sun, which represents the Earth’s changing natural cycle, revolving in the eternal circle of life. In a circle is the inscription KRISTIJONAS DONELAITIS 300.
