Obverse

The obverse of the coin features Lithuanian coins from the 14th–16th c. with the most significant heraldic signs of the State of Lithuania – Vytis, the Double Cross, and the Columns of Gediminas. Surrounding them are the inscription LIETUVA (LITHUANIA), denomination (50 litas), year of issue (2005), and the mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint.

Reverse

The reverse of the coin features an image of the archangel St Michael blowing a trumpet, surrounded by the inscription LIETUVOS NACIONALINIS MUZIEJUS 150 (NATIONAL MUSEUM OF LITHUANIA 150).
