The obverse of the coin features a stylised Vytis, the coat of arms of the Republic of Lithuania, the inscription LIETUVA (LITHUANIA), the year of issue (2018), denomination (€5) and the mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint. 

Reverse

The reverse of the coin depicts two stylised satellites (Lituanica SAT-1 and LitSAT-1), their flight trajectory, and fragments of messages sent from space – Linkėjimai visiems lietuviams (Greetings to all Lithuanians around the world) and Lietuva myli laisvę (Lithuania loves freedom).
