Bank of Lithuania

Obverse

The obverse of the coin features a non-traditional Vytis, inspired by fragments of hearth tiles from the time of Casimir Jagiellon (Kazimieras Jogailaitis), found in Vilnius Lower Castle. The coat of arms is surrounded by the inscription LIETUVA (LITHUANIA), date of issue (2017), denomination (€5), and the mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint.

Reverse

Against a heart-shaped background, the reverse of the coin features the most distinctive attributes of Kaziukas’ Fair: a verba, pitcher, spoons, hobby horse, rooster, ring-shaped roll, and a wagon wheel.
