Samples of signs of security in bank-notes
 

 

The use of images of banknotes and coins is prohibited when

- such images are difficult to distinguish from the original and they can be confused with real banknotes and coins;

- their use can inflict damage on the image of the Lithuanian currency or the Bank of Lithuania.

Banknote images can be used in:

- photographs, drawings, paintings and other reproductions where the focus is not on the banknotes themselves;

- one-sided copies whose size is at least 125 per cent or at most 75 per cent of the real length and width of a respective banknote;

- double-sided copies whose size is at least 200 per cent or at most 50 per cent of the real length and width of a respective banknote.

Coin images can be used in:

- photographs, drawings, paintings and other flat reproductions on paper, textile or another material, with the exception of metals.

Bank of Lithuania permission is necessary for:
