Ms. Cecilia Skingsley Mr. Marius Jurgilas
Deputy Governor of the Sveriges Riksbank Member of the Board of the Bank of Lithuania

Over the last years the banks' footprint in the payment market has been challenged by innovative non-banks that strengthen their presence by virtue of appealing technology, convenience and flexibility. Apparently, the digital revolution has finally reached somewhat lagging payment market. Yet the final outlook of new era payments is hard to predict, the emerging challenges and opportunities have already caught the attention of both market players and regulators alike.

The Conference will bring together a diverse pool of speakers and participants from non-banking and banking sectors as well as European and national authorities to discuss the growing role of non-bank players, their cooperation vs competition modus operandi, regulatory opportunities, and future perspectives.

Speakers from TransferWise, iZettle, Google, the European Commission, the ECB and other distinguished key-noters will touch upon issues like is it possible for non-banks to grow without banks? is there a win-win outcome for competing parties in particular and for the society in general? who will remain interested in investing and preserving the core retail infrastructure? will innovation remove fragmentation or vice versa?

Venue: Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square, Universiteto g. 14, Vilnius, Lithuania
